London Bus Tour

Queen Victoria's monument to her husband, Prince Albert. It's coated in gold leaf that has to be replaced about every 50 years.

Royal Albert Hall where various music events take place including Swan Lake, the Royal Philharmonic, and on Wednesday night they're having Modest Mouse (rock band). It's just a few blocks from our classrooms (about 30 minutes from the flat).

Buckingham Palace right after the changing of the guard...I didn't see the changing, but hopefully I will before I leave. The Union Jack flag means that the queen isn't home.

A pond outside of Buckingham Palace.

St. Paul's Cathedral that had four bombs drop on it in WW2, but none of them detonated. It is/was a symbol of unity and hope for London during WW2.

The front of St. Paul's
The Big Ben clocktower. Interesting fact I learned is that the bell inside the tower is named Big Ben and not the tower itself (also, the bell has a cousin named Liberty in the US).

A really tall monument for a very short war hero person named Nelson.

Westminster Abbey from inside the bus.

Piccadilly Circus or as I called it "the Times Square of London"...I love the contrast between the modern and the old buildings.

You have no idea how insanely jealous I am of you right now...I may never get over it (note that there is sarcasm).

Oh, and the deleted comment is me accidently commenting on your blog under my sisters name because she forgot to log out :)
